Here is the file I’ve been using to insert Snacker into various Disney screencaps. It’s not perfect, but it should serve you nicely.</p> <p>Do note that because I enjoy wasting time in Photoshop, I’ve kinda overdone it trying to get Snacker to fit as closely as possible in the very movies. The source artwork has a more painted look and there isn’t much to be done about that, but I sometimes use the Smart Blur filter to soften her details. For some of the older cartoons, I tone down the saturation so she doesn’t look so out of place. When I’m getting fancy, I erase parts of the Snacker image so she appears to be behind objects. An easy way to do this in Photoshop is to make the Snacker level less opaque so the background image shows through. Then I just use the eraser to trace the parts of the background I want in front of Snacker. When I’m really feeling fancy, I’ve added a rough shadow by duplicating her silhouette, filling it all black and bringing the opacity down to 50%. Then I use the transform tool to tweak the scale and skew as necessary. Finally, I use the blur tool to soften the shadow’s edges considerably. Its not super ideal, but it can create a reasonablish shadow. On the Peter Pan screengrab, I also gave Snacker an outer glow to match Tink’s, even creating a new layer for her wings to match Tinker Bell’s glow.</p> <p>That’s all Director’s Commentary type stuff, though. Don’t feel any need to finesse your own creations before submitting.
